بسم‌الله الرحمن الرحیم
At the end of verse 14 of surat el-Mu’minūn, God says: so Pure and Blessed is Allah, the best of creators! فَتَبَارَكَ اللَّهُ أَحْسَنُ الْخَالِقِينَ .Is God merely applauding Himself? Is that it?
Let’s think about it, why would we praise a person or a company that makes something? We actually want to say that their product is good and valuable. “! فَتَبَارَكَ اللَّهُ أَحْسَنُ الْخَالِقِينَ  This basically means, you and I ought to be proud of ourselves for being a creation of God.
The verse, and the two previous verses, beautifully complement each other. God says We … created man from … clay; then We placed him as a drop of semen …; then We turned the semen into a clot; next We turned the clot into tissue; and then We turned the tissue into bones and … clothed the bones with flesh. We gave him an appealing covering. «کسونا» means we clothed him, a very pleasing clothing.
You’ve probably seen scientific documentaries on the human body. They sometimes show what exists under the skin. Not a very pleasant sight to be honest, is it? God has given us a clothing, a cover, so that we would be pleasing to the eye. He’s given us a form that exhibits our beauty.
The same goes for our vices and virtues, which are not visible on the surface, but lie deep inside. Nobody can see the inner me or the inner you. God has made us beautiful on the outside. As it is recited in a wonderful Du’a یا من اظهر الجمیل و ستر القبیح O the One Who makes apparent what is beautiful and hides what is ugly.
O God, you have covered my ugliness, in the creation of my body, and also by covering the sins and vices within me.
Now if, God forbid, I do something bad, I commit a sin, He still says, come to Me. I am still the best of Creators.
You have wronged, you have messed up, you have created ugliness.
Come to Me, the ‘best of Creators’ will make you beautiful again.
I will forgive you in such a way, that you will become as pure as you were the first day you were born. فَتَبَارَكَ اللَّهُ أَحْسَنُ الْخَالِقِينَ
